The client required a centralised, smart application that could deliver accurate, location-specific weather and environmental data insights in a simple and accessible format. The goal was to enlighten users with timely forecasts, air quality updates, and actionable weather insights, allowing better planning and making more informed decisions via a smooth and seamless mobile experience.

Challenges We Came Across
Our client wanted to provide a smooth and seamless weather application experience across a variety of Android devices while ensuring accurate, location-aware weather forecasts and real-time air quality insights.
Keeping up a consistent performance and reliability posed a bunch of challenges, particularly when handling live weather data, dynamic visual elements, and varying device capabilities. The app also needed to deliver accurate location information and uninterrupted access to critical weather updates to users.
Moreover, the solution needed to:
- Provide reliable weather and air quality data in spite of unstable network conditions
- Handle API responses efficiently to minimise data gaps and delays
- Optimise animations and visual effects for smooth performance on low-end Android devices

How Avenue Helped Out
We created an intelligent, AI-enhanced, feature-rich weather app that provides real-time weather forecasts, air quality insights, and an engaging consumer experience for Australian audiences.
We added city-based weather perspectives to check the current temperature, hourly forecasts, and graphical weather conditions. App users can choose from various Australian cities, such as Sydney, Perth, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Adelaide. The application assists users in making their plans by delivering real-time AQI metrics, like PM2.5 and PM10.
UI lottie animations offer visual interest without causing latency in performance by displaying weather conditions such as sunny, rainy, windy, and stormy. Our app provides a location-specific experience by automatically displaying the app user’s exact location in “City, State, Country” format. The app’s hourly forecast tab supports tabbed navigation.
